At the beginning of this year I decided I wanted to challenge myself to deepen my expressive connection with the electronic sounds growing in importance in my musical life. I have historically turned to the saxophone for my most personal musical expressions, and wanted to establish a similarly deep and natural relationship with my synthesisers. I have found a wonderful partner in the Buchla, and these recordings are the results of my work in the first half of 2023.

Each of these recordings was performed in one take, with no overdubbing and no prerecorded sounds. What you hear was synthesised in real time on only my Buchla! Please message me if you would like a copy of the graphical score I created to guide these semi-improvised performances.
